The beautiful stone angels of Crown Hill Cemetery have inspired me to paint a seres of angels on sheet music that has been adhered to gessoed masonite. Each of the angels is painted in a monochromatic scheme and varnished. The sheet music is faintly visible from beneath the watercolor, yet it is an important element of the composition.
